International Science Writers Association (ISWA)

Established: 1967
ISWA is the world's oldest international science journalists association. An organization of individual membership, it is of particular value to writers living in countries without national associations, and especially those wishing to be represented in the World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ). ISWA's objective is to provide an informal network of personal and professional contacts among science writers worldwide.
Key Activities:
ISWA maintains a website offering information regarding job, training and educational opportunities; publishes a newsletter and membership list providing up-to-date contact information and news of professional developments around the world; and assists in the planning, organizing and conducting of seminars and workshops on science communication.
