1984 (became a legal Organization by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 1994)

Year 1984 Established as club science journalism.
Year 1995 Open office for science journalists and host science forum
Year 2001 Change of club name to KSJA(Korea Science Journalists Association)
Year 2004 Participation of WFSJ Canada
Year 2008 Host science and medical media academy
Year 2009 25th anniversary of KSJA. Support science journalists for overseas Study and research.
Year 2011 Inauguration of current president Park Bang Ju serving consecutive term.

Year 2013 Inauguration of new president Shim Jae Eok serving first term.

Year 2013 Successfully won the bid to host the World Conference of Science Journalists in 2015

Year 2014 30th anniversary of KSJA.

Year 2015 Inauguration of current president Shim Jae Eok serving consecutive term.

Year 2015 Hosted a 9th World Conference of Science Journalists in Seoul COEX on June. 8 ~ 12
About:

KSJA is made up of Journalists specializing in science and technology, information technology (IT), and medical science in domestic daily newspapers, broadcasting companies and news agencies. Its objectives are: to promote science journalism; to upgrade the skills of science Journalists; and to enhance membership and protect the rights of journalists.

Key Activities:

Organize small and big seminars for science journalism
Do public relations of governmental science policies
Giving awards the outstanding journalists and scientists
Dispatch science journalism and education
