My name is Diodora Bucur and I am a 32-year-old Canadian journalist and the recipient of several top North American journalism awards. I hold a bachelor in broadcast journalism from Concordia University and I am fluent in English, French, Romanian and Spanish.

I am currently writing for The News, Mexico City´s only English-language daily www.thenews.com.mx serving Canadian and American communities nationwide. My professional credentials also include published work with the Canadian Press and the now defunct daily newspaper The Herald Mexico. As a reporter in Montreal, I worked at The Suburban, Quebec´s largest English weekly, and served as president of the Montreal chapter of the Canadian Association of Journalists.
