Tenth EASE General Assembly and Conference Integrity in Science Communication

16-19 September 2009
Pisa, Italy

Details of the 2009 conference

Editors are the ‘gate-keepers’ of the scientific literature, so maintaining integrity in all its forms is a vital aspect of what we do. This topic will be addressed in three plenary sessions and multiple parallel sessions. Submitted papers within this theme are also welcome. More practical workshops may be organised according to demand. There will also be a full social programme.

Pisa is one of the gems of Tuscany. The Old Town is a maze of little streets from which you emerge into the wide-open Piazza dei Miracoli to see the beautiful Cathedral, the Baptistry, the Monumental Cemetery, and of course the Leaning Tower – a picture of “harmony, balance and colour”. Pisa University is one of Italy’s oldest, dating from the 12th century. Pisa was once a powerful marine republic with the River Arno connecting it to the sea. Not far from Pisa is the delightful medieval town of Lucca, and Florence is just an hour away by train. Several European airlines, including EasyJet and RyanAir, fly direct to Pisa.
