WFSJ welcomes Arab, Dutch and German associations


The Arab Association of Science Journalists, the Dutch Association of Science Journalists and the German Association of Science Journalists (WPK) have recently joined the World Federation of Science Journalists.

Nadia El-Awady, President of the Arab Association of Science Journalists, writes that during their last meeting in Cairo on March 22nd 2005 the board of the Association unanimously decided to join the World Federation. Members of the Arab Association are already linked through e-mail and have just started their own web site: http://www.arabsciencejournalists.net/

Two days later, on March 24, it was up to the Dutch Association Science Journalists to decide to join the World Federation, has confirmed by its president, Ms. Margriet van der Heijden.

The German Association of Science Journalists (WPK) is also confirmed as a member of the World Federation. WPK is the second association of science and technology journalists from Germany to join the WFSJ.

With these three new members, the World Federation of Science Journalists has now 23 confirmed members.
