Kyoto Prize Symposium Journalism Fellowship

Believing in the importance of this global educational event, Point Loma Nazarene University offers this Kyoto Prize Symposium Journalism Fellowship for professional science, technology and arts writers and editors in print, radio and broadcast media. We are pleased to assist such journalists in furthering their knowledge and ability to report in greater depth about one or more of the award categories. The program provides unique learning experiences in the specific fields of the latest Kyoto Prize Laureates through lectures and presentations, workshops, small VIP receptions, and special access to the Laureates. Journalists will gain valuable understanding and an historical context of the laureates’ works and the impact they have made on our society. In addition, the journalist will participate in a brief discussion session with PLNU journalism students. The Fellowship will fund travel, lodging and per-diem expenses of journalists whose news organizations would otherwise not pay for such a trip to San Diego.

Deadline for submission: January 21, 2011
Fellowship recipient will be notified on February 11, 2011
