Main purpose of the position
Write/edit a range of publication including technical reports, journal articles, generalaudience
articles, posters, and brochures.

The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) is an international autonomous, non-profit, research center based in Aleppo, Syria, supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). We are committed to the improvement of livelihoods of the resource-poor in dry areas by enhancing food security and alleviating poverty through agricultural research, and the equitable use and conservation of natural resources. Main responsibilities
  • Write/edit and supervise production of both technical and non-technical publications and web content, related to the activities and achievements of ICARDA, including reports to donors;
  • Write syntheses and briefings that summarize research results for various non-research audiences, such as policy makers; work with researchers to create tools and useful materials for ICARDA key audiences, derived from research program outputs.
  • Supervise production team and manage network of external editors.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the Head of the Unit.
