To develop and strengthen our Communication Department, we have an opening for a:

SCIENCE WRITER
As a Science Writer, you will support the Communication Manager in reaching out and gaining enthusiastic support from a wide range of international and local scientific and non-scientific audiences.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
You will combine your strong interest for science with a creative, artistic flair around words to produce scientific, medical, educational and persuasive communication and marketing materials in English language. You will work with a multicultural and multilingual group of individuals who will provide the basis for materials to be developed. You will be responsible for taking a job through from briefing to final delivery, collaborating with colleagues, external partners and service providers.

Your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Enhance media outreach activities by generating regular press materials and coverage while maintaining online platforms. You will help the IBBL become THE source of expert commentary on biobanking, biospecimen research, personalized medicine and the various diseases addressed by the priority research programmes
  • Support strategic and organizational objectives of the IBBL, through the design of creative briefs for corporate and promotional materials 
  • Develop contents for the educational and community outreach programmes 
  • Support researchers in the writing of scientific articles and presentations
